Our Year 1 English learners embarked on an exciting pirate-themed learning journey! Throughout the week, the classroom was filled with curiosity, creativity, and lots of enthusiastic “Ahoy!” moments.
Students took part in a variety of engaging activities designed to build their language skills while having fun. They played interactive pirate games that encouraged teamwork and communication, listened to a lively pirate song, and explored new vocabulary connected to life at sea. The children also enjoyed reading colorful and imaginative stories about pirates, which sparked many conversations and inspired their own ideas.
One of the highlights of the week was when each student created and wrote about their very own pirate character. From brave captains to mischievous deckhands, their stories were full of personality and creativity.
It was a wonderful week of learning, laughter, and adventure—showing once again that language learning can be both meaningful and magical!
